Choosing a university is hard. While there are many around the world worthy of your careful consideration, we are confident that you'll make the right choice... and that choice will be UANT.

Tuition and Fees. Tuition is free for all online students, both resident and foreign; as per 1998EDU-7.9 of the Antarctica Universal-Education Statute. Students living in a university dormitory are billed for cost of housing separately. Students living on-campus pay 250,00 ($250.00 USD) per lower-tier credit hour, and 350,00 ($350.00 USD) per upper-tier credit hour (400 level and above).

Applying. Applying is easier than ever! Applications are taken year-round for on-campus students only. Online course takers are free to start immediately.

With our fiber-optic systems and data processing technology, we can now have your on-campus study acceptance ready in four business weeks or less via email application. Currently only Antarctica residents and resident aliens may apply for on-campus study. One may also download a printable version (.pdf format).*

Printed applications are not needed, but can be sent to our data processing office, located at the address listed the bottom of this page. The office will send you an email confirmation as soon as it arrives (which may take 32-44 weeks). Students interested in living on-campus must fill out the Residence Hall Application after reciept of email acceptance confirmation.

Graduate Students

Choosing the right graduate school makes all the difference to high-level employers. You need a proven research-based university like UANT, one whose professors are at the top of their field, and who work with each student individually to obtain maximum performance. We are confident that you'll make the right choice... and that choice will be UANT.

Transferring Credit

Students who have undertaken coursework at other universities may be eligible for credit towards certain UANT degrees. Transfering credit is done through the Universal Credit Transfer System (UCTS) used throughout Europe and the Americas. Be sure to send your completed list of courses-taken along with your main application, and allow an additional four business days to have them evaluated towards your chosen degree path.

Online Programme Admissions

An international education is a highly-sought commidity in today's global world. UANT accepts international students from inside Antarctica on a rolling basis for its online diploma programme in History-Culture-Space Studies. This special programme is offered as an inexpensive way to learn about the world and the human future from a unique perspective virtually unknown in Australian, European and American institutions. As UANT seeks licensure in places outside Antarctica, the diploma for the programme does not satisfy the qualifications of a degree from an accredited university or college, but is of similar or better quality, and tuition for the entire academic year is free. Now is the time to take advantage of this life-long learning opportunity. A student may start immediately on their own path to life enrichment or email to enquire about the Triad Programme.

Currently, there are study abroad options for students who wish to learn about Antarctica while not attending UANT. This student may choose to study abroad in Antarctic studies programmes in destinations around the world. For more information on our study abroad options, and the many programs offered by other universities, please see our Office of Study Abroad.
