Amundsen College of Social Science emphasizes the investigation of critical issues of society and the physical environment, including the linkages between global and local processes, a hallmark of geographic inquiry. Political history and geography, and environmental studies overlap to round out our graduates knowledge of the global world. Many students investigate nature-society interactions, with an emphasis on the historical-social complex. Our College provides background for careers in government at the local, state, and national levels; in international organizations; political campaigns; interest groups and lobbying organizations; journalism; business; and law. Also, because our students analyze the social structures and processes of a society (being a group of people who occupy a particular geographical space and share a common language, culture, and social relations), Amundsen College has helped put UANT at the forefront of the international movement towards a better tomorrow. It has provided the department with a strong, exciting, and supportive environment within which to offer a professional program. On Campus PathsRecognized Associate in American History HST 201, HST 204, HST 205, HST 206, HST 207, HST 208, HST 209, HST 210, GEO 201, GEO 244, FLM 202 or FLM 203
