A long history of dogsledding has resurfaced the sport today. Thriving in the 1960s, dogsledding was abandoned as an AIL sport in 1975. Yet today, the fastest growing sport at UANT is dogsledding. This is in part due to the increased number of dogs available for use, and a growing student population. Next year will be the first ever incorporation of dogsledding into UANT's sports roster. It will become an official AIL league sport again next year. Until the season begins, here is a glimple of some of the practice runs. |
