6,000 word 'Amundsen Rule' Paper,
Topical Reader Responses (5)
|
DESCRIPTION
Taking
the word 'against' in the sense of 'measured against',
and not 'diametrically opposed to', this class returns
to the idea of 'Western Malaise' previously developed
and integrates into it thought on how this 'Brave New West'
interacts with the rest of the burgeoning world. Current
ideas on the American, European, and outpost futures
help to discover
that as resources become scarce, now is the time to
assert leadership and responsibility. It outlines the
current trends before ending with evidence of the immediacy
of the need to alter trajectory. This course includes a 6,000 word writing requirement. A
grade of 2 or higher must be attained. 18 class hours. READING
