Transport ready to dock...

Space artist Robert McCall's 1980s image is called, Exploring the Space Frontier. In it, the crew of next generation spacecraft will routinely visit manned stations in Earth orbit- of which there were hypothisized more than one. This image comes from a great space art book, In the Stream of Stars, from 1990 (Hartmann, Sokolov, Miller and Myagkov).
