Space Solar Power

It ain't new! The biggest energy idea of recent years has been around as long as solar power has, hiding just under the surface of conversations about solar energy.

Space Solar Power uses the same kind of microwaves as cell phones do to beam the collected energy down to Earth, SSP is the ONLY method of energy collection that can keep up with the forseeable increase in human demand for energy by the year 2100 (or even before).

This depiction appeared In 1977's, Colonies in Space. It is a "power satellite", with collector panels several square miles each.

The energy is 'converted into a beam and sent to Earth'! Sounds familiar.
