Earthlings colonize at Saturn...
A nice domed base on Tethys, as could be on Rhea, Iapetus, Mimas, Titan, Dione or any other larger moon around Saturn.
Is the trip over? Have we gone far enough yet to know we have gone too far?
Are there horizons as yet unknown?
The ancients (and for that matter, the classicals, medievals, early modern explorers (and those enlightened and learned men who founded the American republic) all understood mighty Saturn to be the end of the line.
Until 1781, not long after Cornwallis surrendered to Washington- a new world would be found not only here, but also in the heavens. |
