Who's eclipsed who?
William K. Hartmann's eery picture of an eclipse turns the surface a ruddy color. Were this Earth, it would be a lunar eclipse. From here, however, it is a Terran eclipse.
On this science base in Giant Orientale crater basin, the solar paneling which provides energy to the base are rendered termporarily out of service during the hour of the eclipse. |
