Meanwhile...
bring back the romance!
Is some of the romance missing from today's space adventures? Why don't high school kids, who love exploring virtual reality, feel the call of pioneers past to explore real reality? Today's students thrill at the idea of a hotel or place to go in space, if only they are exposed to its possibility.
Opening a station's inside in this view, Disney's E.P.C.O.T. Center emphasizes the human side of space adventure. This is the whole point, after all, isn't it?
Speaking of high school, how about this sophomoric segway:
"To sum up, a space station is a base for people. Thus far, the presentation has focused on technology in use around the orbital environment of our homeworld. But we've had dreams of other worlds, too." |
