Peace...

Peace in Russian is "mir." But a 1980s Ron Miller work demonstrates that peace really may be an appropriate name for the future of this American station, too. Neither it nor Mir were military bases, after all.

This station would no doubt orbit with Mir, perhaps foreshadowing a real situation now: China and India both have space stations planned, with China getting more and more confident about its future in the cosmos every year.
