Today there are... how many?
Today there are over a thousand satellites both operational and decomissioned.
The United States, Russia, France, Britain, Japan, China, India, Israel, Ukraine and Iran can all launch satellites without help, and satellites are still tools of communication, surveillence and environmental monitoring.
Most use solar power to remain operational, and it is in the use of solar power specifically that provides one of the great bases for the utility of Space Solar Power: prima facie evidence that when it is put to use, it is on and works 24/7.
Can you find the astronaut? Can you imagine BEING that astronaut? Wait for the space hotels. |
