Expensive Advertising...
Commercializing outer space will be debated at first, but as the years go by, how can it lose? After all, there is enough space in space so that no amount of advertising pollution could exploit it all no matter how hard we tried!
Recently, the website FreakingNews hosted a great competition, one in which participants were tasked with picturing the 'commercialization of space'.
Standing out in picturing a space station wrapped in the stuff, it reminds the view that part of the psychological barrier to outer space is the unfamiliarity. So this advertising may be a good thing to build familiarity. The theme was also explored in the recent film, The Astronaut Farmer with Billy Bob Thorton.
The shape here, however, is highly reminiscent of another object of visionary engineering... |
