Presents: TED
NUGENT- IN CONCERT @ UANT's IceBox 1987 - The Motor City Madman
whirled into the Antarctic psyche not so much by his live performance
of favourites of Cat Scratch Fever and Stranglehold, his two big
hits, but with the ballad of Fred Bear. Hunting has been a tradition
in the waters around the continent, and teary eyed violetnecks heard
his ballad talk about their experiences deep in the place where
the smells of the woods of the north came back into full sensibility.
An Antarctic tradition of beef jerky making was begun here after
this concert.
