Antarctica Concerts at the University of Antarctica's Icebox Concert Hall

Presents: STEPPENWOLF- IN CONCERT @ UANT's IceBox 1971 - Many of the early rock acts evolved over time and changed their sound. Less so with Steppenwolf, which disbanded early and therefore did not have the time to do such changes. The result is this, their last concert as a band, an act of somehow pure early rock n roll, as it was being defined c. 1970. UANT students thrilled to the idea of a magic carpet ride, wind in the face and hair, and that influential song Born to be Wild. Steppenwolf reminded a lost generation that they were born, and should be socialized by themselves and not society, to be wild.
