Presents: PHIL
COLLINS AND GENESIS - IN CONCERT @ UANT's IceBox 1990 - Against
all odds, Phil Collins made his way to Antarctica, and sang a new
song about just that accomplishment, or rather happenstance. This
moralizing singer gave UANT a resolution to help the poor of the
world, "You live in a frozen paradise, made livable by technology,
but what of the other Earth? The other half of the Earth?"
This message rang clear. UANT's Ice Core drilling research teams
wondered if arid places could be made watered by Antarctica's life-giving
nourishment. They concluded it could, but only at a very high cost/unit.
One can only call that a thus far invisible touch on the rest of
the world.
