UANT / Antarctica Museum Archive

Presents: THE DOORS- IN CONCERT @ UANT's IceBox 1972 - It was historic. They were going for classic but they ratcheted it up somewhere during the second song to historic. UANT students were left speechless by the alternative melodies, piano accompaniment, and unexpected live twists on songs they had only knew from playing Doors records. During the thirds song it was clear that the Doors name meant to open the Doors in one's mind. America's Vietnam experience was portrayed in the final song, to tears of indignation in the crowd. America had a new friend in Antarctica in 1972 thanks to the Doors.
