In 1983, graduation was in December because of inclement weather. In that well remembered speech by Michael Chrichton, author of Congo, and the Andromeda Strain. His message of hope rang for UANT students and graduates, their parents and faculty so much, that it was suggested, but later shelved, that all graduations be in December. More.
